Understand the selection process, practise authentically and develop the communication, judgement, teamwork and self-awareness expected from an officer candidate.
Authentic preparation
The Services Selection Board evaluates a candidate across psychology, group testing and interview situations. Good preparation helps candidates understand the process, communicate clearly and demonstrate their natural qualities with greater self-awareness.
Dignitary’s SSB guidance combines process orientation, structured practice, feedback and personality development. The objective is not to manufacture responses, but to help candidates improve expression, participation, observation, decision-making and consistency across tasks.
Preparation areas
Orientation and practice help candidates respond naturally, manage time and review patterns without memorised stories.
Group discussion, planning, outdoor tasks and command situations require cooperation, initiative and practical judgement.
Personal interview preparation strengthens clarity about education, family, interests, responsibilities and motivation.
Speaking practice improves organisation of thought, listening, confidence and respectful participation.
Specific feedback helps candidates recognise weak participation, unclear expression and avoidable inconsistencies.
Fitness, awareness, responsibility and daily habits support both SSB performance and long-term leadership.
Guidance team
Academy materials identify specialist guidance from Commandant Yogesh Datta, Group Captain Sanjay Petkar, Colonel Raghvendra Sharma and Colonel Pankaj Mehra. Trainer availability may vary by batch; candidates should confirm the current schedule before joining.

Candidate questions
No. SSB outcomes depend on the candidate’s performance and the official assessment. Training can improve understanding, practice and self-awareness but cannot guarantee recommendation.
Dignitary provides practical group-task exposure and has dedicated GTO training facilities. Confirm batch arrangements with admissions.
Training is most useful when the candidate knows the reporting schedule and has enough time to understand feedback without attempting artificial last-minute changes.
