Start with the total, not the headline number
There is no single standard “NDA academy fee.”
A Classes 11–12 programme can combine several different services: school or junior-college education, NDA written-exam coaching, supervised study, physical training, hostel, meals and activities. A quoted amount is useful only when parents know exactly which of these services it covers.
This guide does not publish an estimated fee range because current charges, programme combinations and optional services can change. Instead, it gives families a written comparison method that can be applied to Dignitary or any other academy.
Step 1
Separate every service before comparing two programmes
School or junior college
Record admission, tuition, practical, laboratory, examination and board-related charges. Confirm the exact academic institution responsible for registration and marksheets.
NDA written preparation
Ask which Mathematics and GAT classes, tests, study material, doubt sessions and revision support are included.
Hostel and mess
Separate accommodation, meals, laundry, electricity, security deposit and any annual or term-based residential charges.
Fitness and activities
Check whether physical training, sports, swimming, uniforms, activity charges or medical checks are included or optional.

Step 2
Calculate the full two-year cost
A low first instalment does not necessarily mean a lower total cost. Create one line for every charge and extend it across the complete period the student is expected to attend.
- One-time admission, registration or security amounts
- Monthly, quarterly, term-wise and annual charges
- School and coaching fees shown separately
- Hostel, mess, transport and laundry charges
- Books, test series, uniforms and activity costs
- Taxes, deposits and payment-processing charges, where applicable
- Possible fee revisions during the second academic year
Mark every amount as compulsory, optional, refundable or non-refundable. If an item is described verbally but is missing from the written schedule, ask for clarification before paying.
Step 3
Ask for the payment and refund rules in writing
Parents should receive a payment calendar showing each due date, the service period covered and the accepted payment method. The document should also explain what happens if a student changes stream, leaves the hostel, withdraws from coaching or is unable to continue for a medical reason.
A refund policy should identify which charges are refundable, the deductions that may apply, the notice process and the expected timeline. Do not rely on phrases such as “adjustment will be considered later” unless the exact conditions are documented.
Step 4
Verify what the academy is—and is not—promising
The Central Consumer Protection Authority’s 2024 coaching-sector advertising guidelines address false or misleading claims and deliberate concealment of important information. Families should be cautious about guaranteed ranks, guaranteed selection, unclear result claims or pressure to pay before receiving written terms.
NDA selection is not purchased through a coaching fee. Candidates must satisfy the current official eligibility rules and progress through the UPSC written examination, SSB assessment, medical standards and final merit. For future examination information, use the UPSC forthcoming examinations page and the eventual official notification.
A simple comparison sheet
Use the same columns for every academy
Provider
Write the legal or official name of the school, coaching provider, hostel and transport provider.
Included service
Describe exactly what the charge buys, how often it is delivered and whether it is compulsory.
Total and due date
Record the full-period amount, instalment dates, taxes and possible revision conditions.
Exit condition
Note refund, transfer, cancellation and deposit-return terms, including the required written notice.

Common questions

What should NDA academy fees in Pune include?
Ask for a written breakup that separates school or junior-college charges, NDA coaching, hostel, mess, study material, tests, uniforms, transport, activities, deposits and optional items.
Should parents compare only the first instalment?
No. Compare the total expected cost for the full academic period, including recurring charges, due dates, possible annual revisions and conditions for refundable deposits.
Can an academy guarantee NDA selection after fees are paid?
No. Selection depends on eligibility, the UPSC written examination, SSB assessment, medical fitness and final merit. Fees pay for stated services, not a guaranteed result.
What should parents get before paying?
Obtain the exact programme name, service provider names, fee breakup, payment calendar, refund terms, receipt or invoice process, and any hostel or school rules in writing.
